edmonton best restaurant

Edmonton’s best restaurants are known to be some of the best in all of Canada. With such a large variety of cuisine, Edmonton has the world to offer when it comes to new experiences to tantalize those tastebuds!

Uccellino (https://corso32group.com/uccellino)

Foodies will tell you that one of their top 5 restaurants in YEG is Uccellino and is guaranteed to be on their list. Uccellino’s team of professional chefs versed in Italian cuisine offer up traditional Italian dishes with a modern flair. Their team offers a variety of antipasti that is perfect for sharing. Their primi and secondi dishes can be consumed individually or order a bunch and share with your friends. They also offer a tasting menu as well. As this is a highly sought after dinner location, reservations are highly recommended.

Seoul Fried Chicken DT (https://seoulfried.com)

SFC’s prices super reasonable and this is some of the best fried chicken you’ll ever sink your teeth into. Although the SFC OG is super popular, my personal favorite is the G.P. Cheese which is SFC OG w/ a cheesy ranch drizzle on top with grated grana padano cheese and parsley. SFC’s 5 piece dinner set which includes 5 pieces of chicken, 1/2 salad, a side and a drink is priced extremely reasonable leaving you with no excuses why you shouldn’t give them a try.

Rge Rd (https://www.rgerd.ca)

Rge Rd is has an ever changing menu that is inspired by flavors in Canada from coast to coast. Their menu changes based on the season and available meat. There is a strong focus on wood fire cookery and the utilization of the entire animal. Their talented team of professional chefs love to promote local hence why their commitment is sourcing as many ingredients as possible locally making this one of Edmonton’s best restaurants.

Vaticano Cucina (https://vaticanoyeg.com)

Out of all of Edmonton’s best restaurants, this is one of my top Italian spots in YEG. Let’s start with the ceilings of Vaticano Cucina. They are so gorgeous and are filled with colorful frescos. Their wood burning oven assists in creating one of the best, true authentic Italian style pizzas I’ve had in Canada. Between the flavor, texture and presentation, you’ll be hooked as a regular here. What amazes me are the price points. Incredible bargain for your money. For dishes served at any other restaurant, you would be paying double of what you pay here.

Tzin Wine and Tapas (https://www.tzin.ca)

As their name states, Tzin has a focus on wine and tapas. They have one of the most extensive wine lists in YEG as well as some delicious tapas. The entire atmosphere is a warm and welcoming European vibe. Their staff are extremely knowledgeable about wine and can assist you with the best possible food and wine pairings imaginable.

Hanjan (https://www.hanjan.ca)

Hanjan is another great Korean restaurant located in Edmonton. They offer a variety of traditional Korean dishes, deserts and drinks. They also have a unique seasonal menu that offers additional variety. Hanjan’s top sellers are the fried chicken and for desert, the honey butter bread or the mango bingsu.

Sabor (https://www.sabor.ca)

Two childhood friends who were born in Chile and Portugual have created such a welcoming restaurant with an incredible dining experience. Sabor offers flavors from Iberian costal cuisine with the energy and passion of that Latin flare. The tapas are fantastic as well as their cheese but their star is seafood. My personal favorite is the Chilean seabass.

Biera (https://biera.ca)

Biera locally sources all of their ingredients which permits only the freshest of flavors. They have an impressive selection of cheese along with craft beer. They have their own microbrewery onsite, Blind Enthusiasm, which offers a high quality brew. So whether or not you choose to sit on their patio or indoors, you’ll come to realize quicky why you’re at one of Edmonton’s best restaurants.

Meat (https://www.meatfordinner.com)

Meat is a locally owned and operated smokehouse offering authentic BBQ with their homemade sauce and tantalizing sides. If you’ve ever had the pleasure of indulging in a Texan BBQ house then you’ll be flooded with fond memories eating here. From the cornbread to the meat and everything in-between, Meat shines through in every aspect.

Dorinku Tokyo (https://tokyo.dorinku.ca)

Inspired by the streets of Tokyo, Dorinku offers a whole new Japanese vibe as one of Edmonton’s best restaurants. If you enjoy communal dinning then I suggest the snack & share menu along with some sushi. From the food to the ambience and event the Japanese toilets, Dorinku offers a true authentic Japanese experience in YEG.
